Fare thee well

I just boohooed my way through the 2-hour series finale of ER. I was 13 when the show first started and I begged my mom to let me stay up until 11 so I could watch it with her. That was a big freaking deal to stay up that late back then.

I have watched every season since. Even when it got slow, or campy, or a little bit mundane. I must say, this last season did not disappoint. I thought they got the final episode just right too - just enough sappiness but mostly the business of County General still goes on.

Man, I'm going to miss this show.

I lost patience with ER a long time ago, but maybe now that its over I should sit down for a weekend in front of the tv and watch the whole thing straight!

I lost interest about 5 years ago, but the last few summers watched the re-runs.

I think I might need a field trip to Best Buy to pick up the early seasons!

I haven't watched lately, but the end sure made me sad too! It was part of an era that had so many (touching) moments. Kind of reminds me of a Family Circus quote where one kid says to the other, "these are the good ole days Joey, we just won't know it for a while!" Well those were the good ole days when my 13 year old watched the show with me. Moments gone in a flash and I didn't really know they were the good ole days... til now.
The show is not the only thing that I miss, but all those 'moments' gone way too fast.

I watched ER faithfully the first 5 seasons or so, then grew out of it. But I did watch the finale...not too bad!

Look how young Hot Dr. Carter is...WOW!
